SNAPSHOP! encourages youth to nurture their creativity, individual expression and confidence through photography workshops lead by passionate experts and educators.
In our free workshops, over the course of four Saturdays, students from underserved areas of Los Angeles are exposed to and instructed on a variety of different types of photographic styles and genres.
Students are paired with established photographers who will teach them practical, technical, and aesthetic knowledge of crafting a photographic image. This program is offered to 60 students across Los Angeles County who are interested in learning photography, but who may not have the resources to study in extracurricular workshops. The program concludes with a formal exhibition of the student’s work in a gallery setting, to emphasize what they are capable of.
