Mario de Lopez
Photographer Mario de Lopez’s repertoire encompasses commercial and fine art photography. He’s an all-around shooter with a very personal take on portraiture, fashion, documentary, architectural, product design and travel assignments. Developing a unique style, Mario has consistently created evocative images that demonstrate his love of storytelling which convey a deep connection to people and their environments.
Mario has exhibited his fine art series “Hope, Gloves and Dreams”, a documentary boxing series focusing on the struggle of amateur boxers in East Los Angeles and Tijuana, Mexico and the travel series “Notes from America and Beyond”. His boxing images are in private collections in the U.S and Europe.
A graduate of Art Center College of Design, Mario teaches periodically, giving back to diverse communities of upcoming young artists and photographers. He has taught at East LA College and Art Center. He has also held photography workshops and lectures for Los Angeles Music Center and Cal State Northridge.
